Panagiotis Dimitrakis is a research associate at the Cognitive Systems Research Institute. He holds a graduate degree in Mathematics (University of Athens) and a Master of Science in Language Technology (National and Technical University of Athens, University of Athens and Institute for Language and Speech Processing). He has participated in a number of nationally funded and European projects (POETICON++/FP7-ICT, POETICON/FP7-ICT, Interreg, Latsis Foundation Studies) in which he worked on embodied language parsing, data mining in language and multimodal data and machine translation. He is currently developing a cognitive semantic similarity metric, and an embodied parser, as well as robotic applications comprising visual scene understanding and verbal human-robot interaction for the needs of the POETICON++ project.
